The purpose of this specification is to provide the acceptance criteria for the performance and the quality of brazing of steel. The following brazing methods may be used to produce brazed joints to this specification:
• Torch brazing (manual/automated)
• Furnace brazing
• Induction brazing
• Resistance brazing
• Dip brazing
This specification does not cover the requirements for arc-braze welding of steel which is a different joining process to brazing and is covered by the GMN3905 specification.
