The material is a four layer composite consisting of high performance acoustic polyurethane foam with black PU film facing and a flexible PVC based noise barrier with a non-woven backing.

The acoustic foam must be heat-fusion bonded onto the barrier. No adhesive shall be used between the foam and the barrier.

The acoustic PU foam must be polyether modified. The barrier material is a PVCbased polymer alloy loaded with minerals. The barrier must have a 50gsm black non-woven backing. The backing material must also be heat-fusion bonded onto the barrier. No adhesive shall be used.

The composite material must be capable to stand 120oC continuous service temperature and short term intermittent temperature of 140oC.
