This Standard covers alternate water source systems intended to process water from alternate
water sources such as greywater, rainwater, stormwater, air conditioning condensate, and
other non‐potable reuse applications not specifically listed, for use in subsurface and/or surface
irrigation, cooling tower makeup and toilet/urinal flushing applications, or other similar reuse
applications and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance
testing, and markings. This standard does not cover using blackwater as an alternate water
source.
