IAPMO IGC 340-2017 covers quality and performance requirements for quartz surfacing intended for horizontal and vertical interior applications and specifies minimum requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
Note: This standard does not cover engineered stone or agglomerated stone surfaces.
To insure high quality performance and therefore maximize customer satisfaction, this standard also addresses the need for manufacturers to provide quality products through everyday manufacturing operations. To that end in addition to the minimum requirements specified in the body of this standard a minimum ongoing quality control program for facilities manufacturing quartz surfacing has been established in Appendix A.
