IAPMO PS-52-19 covers pump/dose, sumps and sewage ejector tanks with or without a pump intended for commercial and residential applications and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.

Pumps covered by this standard include the following features:

• (a) Are intended for use when gravity drainage is impossible or impractical.
• (b) The design of the tank shall be of sufficient volume to allow for the proper operation of the pump and the switch assembly.
