IAPMO PS 59-2016ae1 covers wastewater diverter valves and diversion systems and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
Wastewater diverter valves covered by this Standard can be used in alternate water source systems for indoor and outdoor non-potable uses.
Note: alternate water source systems may include rainwater catchment, greywater, swimming pool backwash, AC condensate, cooling tower-blow-down, steams system condensate, fluid cooler discharge, foods steamer discharge, ice machine discharge, industrial process water, fire pump test water, theme park recreation water discharge, foundation drainage, stormwater, and black water.
