IAPMO PS 65-2019 covers Airgap units intended for water conditioning equipment installation and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.

Airgap units with standard inlet and outlet ports also may be integrated into other larger housings or product sub-assemblies wherein they are required to perform the same airgap functions. This shall be acceptable so long as the contained airgap units meet the requirements of this standard.
