IAPMO PS 95-2018e3 covers pipe support hangers and hooks intended for use in plumbing supply and drain waste vent systems and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
Products covered by this standard can include:
- (a) Hangers for cast iron pipe
- Plastic pipe support hooks used to support 12.7 through 31.8 mm (1/2 through 1 1/4 in) CTS and 38.1 through 101.6 mm (1 1/2 through 4 in) schedule 40 PVC and ABS DWV piping systems. and,
- Steel hangers used to support up to NPS-6, metallic and plastic, supply and DWV pipe.
This Standard strictly applies to hangers and pipe support hooks used solely as supporting and/or suspending devices and not to pipe alignment and secondary support system.
