2023 Perishable Cargo Regulations (PCR) PDF

This is the 22nd edition of the IATA Perishable Cargo Regulations manual, an industry recognized standard for the efficient and adequate shipping of perishable goods. It will be effective from 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023. Cargo handlers and operator staff will need to be made aware of special handling requirements at the time when shipments are being planned, ideally through SOPs and service level agreements. That is way in advance of their reservation with the operator.

In response to the pharmaceutical industry's need and request for a standalone regulation, the Temperature Control Regulations (TCR) has been established as its own specialized publication. All content related to the handling of pharmaceuticals has been extracted from the PCR into the standalone TCR.
