This manual provides guidance material for States on developing a State safety regulatory and oversight framework for the provision of an instrument flight procedure design service (IFPDS).
This manual also provides guidance material for the related service providers in developing their work procedures and operations manual. It should be noted that the State oversight and the procedure design service provision are two separate components which should work in collaboration to ensure the safe development and maintenance of IFPs.
