This document provides a useful framework for cataloguing methodology. It appears that
existing feature catalogues are fully compatible with the framework, even if certain of the
concepts provided in the General Feature Model occur in existing standards only within
unstructured natural language definitions. Differences may be found in the identification
of feature and attribute domains, the variety of approaches to classification, inclusion of
selection criteria, and in the extent to which the geometric representation of features,
through spatial primitives, is considered an integral part of a feature catalogue.
