ISO/IEC 29341-3-3:2008(E) defines a general-purposedevice that can be used to instantiate any Consumer Electronic (CE) device thatprovides AV content (e.g. media) to other UPnP devices on the home network. Theseries of ISO/IEC 29341 publications defines an architecture for pervasivepeer-to-peer network connectivity of intelligent appliances, wireless devicesand PCs. It is designed to bring easy to use, flexible, standards-basedconnectivity to ad-hoc or unmanaged networks whether in the home, in a smallbusiness, public spaces or attached to the Internet.
