ISO 17215-4:2014 specifies the communication requirements for video camera interfaces. It is concerned mainly with layers 1 through 4 of the ISO/OSI basic reference model. These layers are the physical layer, the link layer, the network layer, and the transport layer.
The general terminology defined in ISO 17215-1 is also used in ISO 17215-4:2014.
