The standard tightening torque values specified herein covers the tightening of standard bolts for general fastening uses in which bolts and nuts are used to give the parts to fasten initial fastening loads equivalent to the axial tension of the bolts. However, for special bolts tightened with torques other than those specified herein, tightening instructions shall be separately given on the individual drawings and specifications.
