PURPOSE

This standard specifies the quality requirements of fluid sealants⁽¹⁾ (hereinafter referred to as 'sealant') to be used on the joint surfaces of an Isuzu product (between parts) at Isuzu or its supplier plant or factory for the purpose of preventing the penetration of air/gas/water/oil. Note⁽¹⁾ Fluid sealants are defined as a material that has fluidity at room temperature, and when applied to joint surfaces, gets dry or uniform a certain time after its application, and forms an elastic hard layer to prevent the penetration of air/gas/water/oil through joint surfaces.
