JIS A 9511:2017 specifies the preformed cellular plastics thermal insulation materials to be used as thermal insulator.
This Standard is mainly applicable to thermal insulation materials intended for general industrial applications, and also applicable to those used under special temperature and humidity conditions such as in a cold-storage warehouse, and those used for facility equpment, piping, etc. of dwellings or buildings. It is not applicable to insulation materials for dwellings and buildings that are mainly intended for use at the ordinary temperature.
