JIS B 8622:2016 specifies absorption refrigerator, absorption chiller/heater and absorption heat pump (hereafter referred to as absorption refrigerating machine), each having a refrigerating capacity of 25 kW or over. The absorption refrigerating machine uses absorption refrigeration cycle through equipment like the generator (including high temperature generator and low temperature generator), condenser, absorber and evaporator. In order to cool or heat water, the machine uses water as refrigerant, uses lithium-bromide water solution as absorbent solution, and supplies driving heat source with the generator or high temperature generator.
