This standard specifies unscreened single-core low-voltage cables with conductors made of aluminium or aluminium alloy to be used for automobiles (hereinafter called cables).
This standard also specifies individual cores in multi-core cables.
The rated voltage of the cables shall be 30 V AC and 60 V DC.
Cables developed before this standard was established shall be acceptable as long as they conform to the latest standard at the time of the development of the cables.
