This standard specifies test methods for non-shielded single core cables used for automobiles (hereinafter referred to as "cable(s)"). This standard is also applicable to individual cores contained in a multi-core cable. Regarding application of each test specified in this standard, relevant cables shall be judged as acceptable if they have passed the test based on the latest standard at the time of their development. If such cables need to be tested after the issue of this standard, they shall be tested in accordance with this standard.
