This standard specifies hexagon steel nuts and hexagon steel thin nuts (hereinafter referred to as "nuts") for use on automobiles.
This standard is not applicable to nuts for which weldability, heat resistance at more than 300 °C and cold resistance at less than -50 °C are required.
