This standard covers the performance requirements of tube fittings used by being connected with polyamide tubes specified in JASO M 317 or other thermoplastics air brake tubes (hereinafter collectively referred to as “tubes”), and assembles of such tubes and tube fittings that are connected together (hereinafter referred to as “tube assemblies”).

This standard is also applicable to devices and circuits that use compressed air in the same system as the air brake.

Table 1 shows the maximum working pressures (hereinafter referred to as “gauge pressures”) and working temperature ranges of tube assemblies.

NOTE The tube assemblies are classified into four categories of specifications based on the maximum working pressure and working temperature range. This standard defines the requirements of each of the categories.
