This standard specifies the procedures for determining the priority of on-board massages presented to driver by TICS (traveler information, navigation, travel and traffic information, "yellow pages' information, TICS warnings, systems status, emergency calling system information, and ETC) and non-TICS (telephone and warning devices). When there are mandatory or legally required messages, they shall take the priority.
Note: This standards does not specify the procedures for displaying on-board messages.
