Hydrogen Transport & Cracking in Metals PDF

Structural integrity is affected by the presence of hydrogen in a wide range of facilities used in the petroleum industry. In this paper an overview of cracking in drilling operations, in production, transportation and refinery facilities all associated with hydrogen is given. Examples of problems and remedial measures are described aiming to provide an engineering flavour to a topic which has attracted extensive research and development.
