This pamphlet contains electronic and electromechanical parts derating criteria to guide the development of derating requirements for AFSC contracts. These guidelines support the derating requirement of AFR 800-18/AFSC Supplement 1. The derating values and principal stress parameters support each of the three operational environmental conditions specified in MIL-HDBK-217. A recommended approach for assessing contractor compliance and a derating criteria summary are also provided. Final selection of the appropriate rating limits is the responsibility of each program office, based on environmental stress, operational requirements, and readiness desired.
