This specification establishes the requirements and verification methods for two HFC-227ea/SBCS Fire Extinguishing agents. For the purpose of simplicity, the term ‰Û÷Agent‰Ûª will be used to denote the HFC-227ea/SBCS Fire Extinguishing agents. The purpose of these two Agents is to provide Army Aviation weapon systems, when in the proper hardware configuration, with an acceptable extinguisher configuration that does not employ an extinguishing mixture classified as an ozone-depleting substance (ODS).
