This document covers a variable reach, rough terrain forklift truck with a 4,000 pound lift capacity at a reach of 23.5 feet which is air-transportable in C-130,C-17, and C-5 aircraft. The truck will be used primarily to load and unload palletized cargo to and from 8 feet wide by 20 feet long ISO shipping containers. The forklift will operate on hard paved surfaces, soft soil, mud, snow, and sand, on level and hilly terrain.
