This document in conjunction with MIL-STD-1530, MIL-STD-1798, MIL-STD-3024, MIL-M-8856, MIL-HDBK-513 and MIL-STD-1568 provides the engineering basis for proper selection of materials and processes for reliable aerospace systems with consideration of acquisition and life cycle costs.
