PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This publication is structured around a generic acquisition model derived from the Acquisition Process described in AAP-48 as illustrated in Figure 1-1. It provides guidance on how quality assurance can support the achievement of the outcomes of selected AAP-48 system lifecycle processes. It offers context, relevance and practical references to quality assurance methods from the project management perspective. Detailed information on the performance of the methods is provided through reference to other NATO publications, international standards and other authoritative sources.
