The scope of Part 4 of Defence Standard 00-133 is to set out how acceptance of aviation arrangements shall be conducted and includes inspection, testing and trials activity.

Regulation for the Ship-Air Release process for Platform and Air System operators are published in RA 1029 and RA 1395. As a Ship-Air Release is pan-class, the MOD Ship's Safety Certificate .(Aviation) should be checked prior to embarking to ensure further restrictions have not been imposed. Extant Certificates can be obtained from the Naval Authority System or by email from the MAA's Maritime Aviation group address.
