The obligations described in this document apply to military, PPS GPS UE. They include Security and Safety activities as part of equipment development, integration, platform installation, use and demilitarisation/disposal related to GPS PPS UE and associated equipment. This DEF STAN also introduces sales and export conditions for supply contractors for equipment involving GPS PPS technology. They apply to all capabilities that include or rely on this technology, and all Authorities/organisations that have dealings with them. These activities have significant industrial involvement that require the formality of contractual obligations to ensure the US Authority’s requirements are met. Therefore, this DEF STAN must be cited in all equipment contracts involving GPS PPS UE.
