It provides guidance on the environmental conditions likely to pertain, strategies and approaches for the evaluation of defence materiel as well as the test procedures and associated severities which may be adopted to undertake such evaluations

This Standard was formerly numbered as DEF STAN 00-35, but for Issue 5 onwards will be numbered as DEF STAN 00-035; to accommodate an improved numbering system within Defence Standardisation (DSTAN).
