This Part of the Defence Standard describes the activities to be undertaken by the contractor to achieve a realistic reliability apportionment at sub-system and assembly level as appropriate, and to produce models that accurately predict the behaviour of a system, consistent with the quality of the available data. Such activities should be carried out from the feasibility stage of the project through to the in-service phase.
