This Part of the Defence Standard provides a general guide to maintainability techniques which can be used to satisfy the R&M tasks specified in DEF STAN 00-40 (PART 1) (ARMP-l), APPENDIX A, CHAPTER 3.
These techniques may be adopted by contractors in their responsibilities for R&M in agreement with project managers.
This Part of the Defence Standard shall apply to all stages in the life of Service equipment for which it is specified.
