The purpose of this document is to define a common standard for test specifications and test schedules produced by contractors supplying materiel for Ministry of Defence use. It should be noted, this Standard may be found useful for application in other engineering fields and its aim is to reduce variety, ensure consistency and completeness hence minimizing support costs. It describes the various types of test documents needed to support Service equipment, the purpose and relationship between design, production and maintenance test documents and the required contents of product and maintenance test documentation. Flexibility in the order or presentation is acceptable provided that the contents requirements are met.
