This part of the Standard provides general information and guidance, and details specific requirements that are to be observed in the marking of ammunition and associated packages and should be read together with the supplementary information needed to cover specific applications, to be found in the individual parts of this Defence Standard. It is important that all contracts involving Explosives include DEFCON 130 – ‘Packaging for Explosives’ as this invokes this and other essential Def Stans. This standard does not cover the marking of Munition Unit Loads which can be found in Def Stan 00-814.
