PREFACE

This document provides requirements and guidance for the design of aircraft to meet the airworthiness requirements for UK military operation. The requirements stated herein shall be applied by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the contractor as agreed and defined in the contract.

This document has been produced on behalf of the Defence Aviation Safety Board (DASB) by Airworthiness Design Requirements and Procedures (ADRP), Air/Land Technology Group (A/LTG), MoD Abbey Wood.

The appropriate Parts of this document are to be used, when called up in the Contract, for all future designs, and whenever practicable for amendments to existing designs. If any difficulty arises which prevents application of this document, ADRP shall be informed so that a remedy may be sought.

Any enquiries regarding this document in relation to an invitation to tender or a contract in which it is incorporated are to be addressed to the relevant MoD Project Director/Project Manager named in the invitation to tender or contract.

This document has been devised solely for the use of the MoD and its contractors in the execution of contracts for the MoD. To the extent permitted by law, the MoD hereby excludes all liability whatsoever and howsoever arising (including, but without limitation, liability resulting from negligence) for any loss or damage howsoever caused where the Document is used for any other purpose.
