This Defence Standard defines the requirements for the platform related photographs and drawings applicable to In-service Submarines.

Photographs are those covering internal compartments and equipments, external fittings, and sea rescue vehicle.

Drawings are those depicting the hull, structure, compartment and general arrangements, system detail and arrangements and cable routes. This standard does not cover requirement for equipment drawings owned and maintained by the Original Equipment Manufacture or equivalent.

This standard also contains references and requirements relating to microfilm format drawings, which although no longer produced to support In-Service Submarines, are retained for historical and reference purposes.
