MODUK DEF STAN 02-250: PART 0 PDF

This Standard describes the procedures used to provide Parts Identification and Allowances of Spares for Platform items sponsored by the Fleet Wide Equipment (FWE) that are fitted in New Construction and In-Service vessels that are required to be given Type A or Type B Support.

The scope of vessel - fit items is therefore wider than that of the asterisked items in the Equipment Code Dictionary of Def Stan 02-54 "Supply of Information To Determine The Ship-Fit Of Equipment and the Identification Of Parts And Spares (Cat 2)".

Similarly, the scope of vessel - fit items is wider than that of the requirements for the preparation of Ship System and Equipment Lists (SS&E) List) (Cat 3), but the procedures described in Part 6 of this Standard are a useful adjunct with respect to asterisked items in the Equipment Code Dictionary of Def Stan 02-54.

This Standard specifically does not cater for Weapon and External Communication Systems and Equipments sponsored by DGSW (N) or DGUW(N) or CNSWE, nor for vessel-fit items sponsored by other MOD Departments, such as DGA(N) and MDG(N).
