This Defence Standard (Def Stan) 02-304 Part 3 Shafting Systems and Propulsors specifies the manufacturing requirements for propulsors fitted to HM Surface Ships and Submarines.

The generic term propulsor is further defined in Section 3 as Propeller and Pump-jets and strict cognizance of these definitions shall be made against each clause of this document.
