Part 3 of this NES comprises lists of NATO Stock Numbers, Management Codes and dimensions of MOD preferred sizes of existing and replacement:

Imperial sized anti-extrusion thin back-up rings which are compatible with the Imperial sized ‘O' ring grooves to BS 1806;

Metric sized anti-extrusion spiral back-up rings to BS 5106;

Metric sized anti-extrusion spiral back-up rings not included in BS 5106, but which are compatible with the Metric sized ‘O' ring grooves to BS 4518.

This NES is applicable to Surface Ships and Submarines, Ship and Submarine Systems and Equipments, Weapon Systems and Equipments, and Dockyard Support Equipments within the temperature ranges stated in NES 337 Part 1.
