This NES specifies the requirements for the manufacture, inspection and testing of 90/10 copper nickel alloy tubes.
The tubes supplied against this NES are for general purpose use only. Where tube is required for a special purpose, eg an oxygen clean system, this is to be specified in the contract documents together with any special cleaning requirements and the required acceptance Standards.
The tubes are Class 1. The class number denotes the usage and the wall thickness. It does not denote the level of quality assurance.
