This document is a guide to corrosion protection against atmospheric corrosion and is written in several sections. This is followed by a detailed survey of all the methods of control against corrosion with emphasis on those approaches, materials performance, design and particularly protective coatings that are most relevant to the protection of components and equipment in atmospheric conditions. The final section provides a focused description of the particular methods of corrosion protection for different metals and alloys.
