The objective of this Defence Standard is to provide concise, easy to read, generic guidance on the V&V of MS&SE being used for Defence purposes. The guidance is general and could be applied to any MS&SE application domain; however, the context is targeted at the UK Defence community.
Throughout this standard the term V&V refers to the MS&SE itself and not to the scrutiny of the activity (experimentation, training, acquisition etc) as a whole. V&V of the MS&SE and its data and does not include the experimental design, the analysis or the presentation of the results.
