This standard describes the procedures to be observed by a Contractor when seeking MOD agreement for OME (single item, lot or batch), to be moved and/or stored under restriction, referred to as ‘Red Card'.

This procedure is only applicable where deliveries of OME under restriction are made from within the UK under an MOD contract.

The procedure described does not apply to nuclear material but does apply to any explosive items which ultimately form part of a nuclear weapon.

It does not apply to the restriction of use, storage or movement of OME which has been released and delivered, but has subsequently become suspect.
