This Defence Standard applies to all Land Vehicles and includes both tracked or, wheeled vehicles that are used by the UK military, they include:

a) Logistic Support Vehicles

b) Soft Skinned Vehicles

c) Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFV)

d) Main Battle Tanks (MBT).

Fire and explosion protection is of particular importance for Land Vehicles with enclosed crew compartments or those with limited emergency egress.
