This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for red and blue dye solutions for use in the smoke generation system of the Royal Air Force Red Arrows aerobatic aircraft. The dye solutions shall be compatible with the materials used in the smoke generation system. The dye solutions are used in diluted form with diesel complying with BS EN 590.
