Paint complying with this Defence Standard is not suitable for use on unpainted metal or gloss painted surfaces.
White paint may be specified as either UN White or Arctic White. When Arctic White is specified, it will satisfy the requirements of STANAG 2835.
Paints matching NATO Green (Colour No 285 of BS 381C), Camouflage Desert Sand (Colour No 380 of BS 381C) and Black to this Defence Standard, will satisfy the requirements of Def Stan 00-23.
Material to this standard is required to satisfy the LIR requirements of Defence Standard 09-24 and 00-23 (for NATO Green only)
The temporary coating must be capable of removal, using aircraft cleaner to Defence Standard 79-17 in accordance with AP 119-0601-0C, Chapter 6-8.
