This standard specifies requirements for a three-part, general purpose epoxide adhesive of low toxicity containing no flammable or volatile solvents, or unreactive diluents. Its primary use is for bonding insulation, such as cork or expanded polyvinyl chloride, to steel, aluminium or to itself. The bond is resistant to water and oil and has some degree of resilience. This adhesive is not recommended for use with copper-based alloys.
