This standard specifies the requirements for a highly visible fluorescent paint system resistant to fuel, chemicals and aircraft operating fluids. The system is suitable for application to the exterior of aircraft, missiles and land based equipment to provide a highly visible finish.
The complete paint system consists of a coat of anti-corrosive primer, white filler, fluorescent finish and clear varnish. The finish is available in three colours; red, orange/red and yellow all of which are presented in RAL 841 – GL.
This standard includes a requirement for Product Conformity Certification (PCC).
