This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for one grade of corrosion preventive compound for use in the preservation of single components, small arms, tools and spares for Motor Transport.It is unsuitable for internal use in engines, for sub-assemblies employing moving parts, or for parts with inaccessible recesses.
PX-31 is intended for use in those applications where PX-2 has previously been used.
WARNING: The compound may incorporate aromatic solvent materials which are toxic, and flammable, and therefore it should be handled only in well ventilated areas, and away from ignition soures. Regular, prolonged, and/or major skin contact must be avoided.
